Overview
Ask AI helps Members find answers from the content and sources they can access. The Ask AI Report shows how that experience is performing across your Academy. Use it to understand adoption, review feedback, spot questions that did not get useful answers, and improve the content or prompts that power Ask AI.Before you start
- You need Admin access to view the Ask AI Report.
- Ask AI must be enabled in Disco AI. If Ask AI is not active, the report does not appear under Insights.
- The report can show Ask AI conversation content and submitted feedback. The table does not include Member names or email addresses.
Open the Ask AI Report
- Go to the Admin area.
- Select Insights.
- Select Ask AI.
What’s in the Ask AI Report
The top of the report shows four summary cards:- Total Questions Asked: total Member questions sent to Ask AI.
- Members Asking Questions: number of Members who have asked at least one question.
- Likes: Ask AI responses marked positively.
- Dislikes: Ask AI responses marked negatively.
Filter and sort conversations
Use the filter icon to narrow the conversation table by:- Location: Global or Lesson.
- Initiated by: Suggested Prompts or Manual input.
- Feedback: Any feedback, Likes, or Dislikes.
Export conversations to CSV
Select Export CSV to download the current conversation table. The export respects the active location, initiation, and feedback filters, along with the selected sort order. The CSV includes the conversation title, location, number of turns, likes, dislikes, how the conversation was initiated, and the last interaction date. It does not include Member names, email addresses, or conversation transcripts. Smaller exports download immediately. If an export needs more time to process, Disco prepares it in the background and emails you a download link when it is ready.Review a conversation
Select any conversation row to open the conversation drawer. The drawer shows the Ask AI conversation in read-only mode, including the Member’s questions, Ask AI’s responses, and any sources shown with those responses. The right sidebar gives you a compact overview of the conversation:- Number of turns.
- Likes and dislikes.
- Whether the conversation started from a suggested prompt or manual input.
- Last interaction date.
Use the report to improve Ask AI
Review disliked responses first, especially conversations with multiple turns. These often show where Members could not find a clear answer, where the source content is missing, or where suggested prompts are sending Members in the wrong direction. Compare Suggested Prompts conversations with Manual input conversations. If suggested prompts produce useful answers, keep them visible. If Members mostly rely on manual questions, update your prompts to match the language Members already use. Use Lesson conversations to identify curriculum pages that need clearer explanations, more examples, or better supporting sources. Use Global conversations to find broader Academy questions that may belong in onboarding, help content, or pinned resources.FAQ
