# AI Writing

Write with AI is a generative writing assistant that helps you draft content in Disco from a simple prompt.

## Overview

Write with AI lets admins and editors move from a blank page to a usable first draft in seconds. You can call it from the post editor, the message editor, and the Academy description field. The output is a starting point you can revise before publishing.

## Use Write with AI in a post or message

Write with AI is built into any post or message editor. Use it whenever you want a quick draft to work from.

1. Open the post or message editor.
2. Type `/**` in the editor.
3. Enter your prompt, like "Write an intro for a sales training module".
4. Click **Generate**.
5. Review the output, then click to insert it into the editor.
6. Edit the inserted content before posting.

## Generate an Academy description with Write with AI

Write with AI can also draft a short summary description of your Academy. Use this when setting up a new Academy or refreshing an existing description.

1. Go to **Admin** → **General Settings**.
2. Scroll to the description field.
3. Click **Write with AI**.
4. Review the generated description.
5. Edit the text, then save.

This gives you a quick starting point for describing your Academy to new members.
